WORK > Make My Picture

For me the “Make My Picture” series evokes the nostalgia of creating as a child; the searching, the curiosity, the immediacy, and the freedom.

The idea for the series came while watching a documentary about Little Richard. In one of the scenes he laughed and, iconically, said “Shut up! Now, make my picture.” Which is what people used to say when being photographed.

Make My Picture is a project about paying homage to human beings and their humanity. As an artist I have become dedicated to releasing inhibition (instead of fixating on making mistakes) and giving in to the medium in pursuit of a body of work that is raw and an artistic voice that is authentic.
